Baghdad Gets American-Style Food
American-style restaurant chains have taken off in, of all places, Baghdad, Iraq, according to a story today by the Associated Press. Entrepreneurs have opened pizzerias, fried-chicken restaurants, burger joints and other fast-food style restaurants and casual-dining restaurants in the Iraqi capital, and enjoyed success, as Iraqis have braved the dangers of their country to enjoy different types of food than the usual local fare. Even amid dangerous conditions, entrepreneurship has flourished in Iraq, and people still like to grab a quick bite to eat.
